LITERARY ARTS CONTEST Theme: Black History – Voices of Peace Grades 6–12
Students are invited to celebrate Black History Month by expressing their voice through poetry, spoken word, essays, short stories, digital content, and other literary works.
Important Rule: Submissions must highlight a unique or lesser-known Black historical figure or community leader. Entries about widely known figures (e.g., Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman) will not be accepted.
Eligibility: Grades 6–12 School Requirement: 30–50 entries
SCHOOL PRIZES 1st Place – $75 2nd Place – $50 3rd Place – $25
